Microsoft Access 'file already in use' error.
Sample Error
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005' Couldn't use '(unknown)'; file already in use.
Solution or Workaround
This error can indicate a permissions problem.  In addition to the database file, somename.mdb for example, your database folder must also be set with proper permissions so that the server can create, update, and delete some temporary files.

Check your permissions.  Contact your web host for assistance if you are unable to resolve this error.

NOTE: If this error occurs sporatically, such as times when your web site is particularly busy, this may be a sign that your server is overwhelmed or reached it's capacity for handling Microsoft Access transactions.  In that case it would be time to migrate toward MSSQL, Microsoft's enterprise level database system, Microsoft SQL Server.  PDshop supports both Access and MSSQL databases.
