PayPal services and API name changes, what Express checkout and Direct payments are called now.
We understand it can get confusing, PayPal rebrands the API's and payment services frequently. While mostly name changes or small changes in wording, the services typically remain the same.
Below is a list of PayPal services and what it may be called or referred to in PDshop or in the Admin.
- PayPal Checkout is known as PayPal Payments Pro (the Express Checkout option)
- Website Payments Standard is often referred to as just PayPal Standard
- Website Payments Pro (Hosted Solution) is also known as PayPal Payments Pro (the Direct Payments option)
- Payflow is the same as PayPal Payments Advanced (also referred to as PayFlow Gateway in some areas)
